The Saint Francis University World Drumming Ensemble is a performance group made up of students, faculty, staff and members of the local community. The musical repertory is comprised of traditional drumming music from all over the globe. The ensemble was designed to create opportunities for each member to learn, express, perform and most of all enjoy playing music. Most notably, the World Drumming Ensemble prides itself on providing interactive, multi-cultural benefit concerts that support music programming in kindergarten through 12th grade in schools throughout the region. The ensemble was directed by Jim Donovan, an award winning facilitator and founding member of the multi-platinum band Rusted Root. He is also an instructor at Saint Francis University.
