Home Nursing Agency recently celebrated the expansion of its home health care and hospice services into Indiana County with a ribbon cutting/open house on Thursday, April 7 at the offices at 320 Franklin Street, Clymer, PA 15728.

Anyone can make a referral and services are available, 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week by calling toll free 800-445-6262 or 724-254-3500.

As the first Medicare-certified hospice provider in Pennsylvania and recognized by Pennsylvania Homecare Association for ‘Best Practices in Homecare and Hospice, Home Nursing Agency has been serving central Pennsylvania families since 1968 as a private, not-for-profit provider of home healthcare and behavioral health services.

For many years, Home Nursing Agency’s staff has extended services to the residents of Indiana County. As the agency has seen the need for quality home health and hospice services increasing, as evidenced by its relationships with physician practices and skilled nursing facilities in Indiana and surrounding counties, the need for a more committed, visible presence has become evident.

According to the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health, the state ranks third nationally in the number of rural elders – the fastest growing segment of the population, projected to increase by 27 percent over the next 20 years. The agency’s not-for-profit mission is in full-swing, and will continue responding to the needs of the region’s rural communities.
