10/3/2023 Family Hospice, Part of UPMC, is pleased to offer a live webinar featuring world-renowned author and grief educator, Dr. Alan Wolfelt. Offered in partnership with Stevens Family Funeral Home, this webinar is titled “Understanding Your Grief: Touchstones for Hope and Healing” and will be held on Wed., Nov. 29 from 5-8 p.m. at UPMC Altoona. A virtual option is also available.
Dr. Alan Wolfelt has been recognized as one of North America’s leading death educators and grief counselors. His books have sold more than a million copies worldwide and have been translated into many languages. Dr. Wolfelt will discuss the following topics: dispel misconceptions about grief, embrace the uniqueness of your grief, explore your feelings of loss, understanding the six needs of mourning, recognize you are not crazy, nurture yourself, reach out for help and seek “reconciliation” and not “resolution.”
Registration is required for the in-person or virtual option. Seating is reserved on a first come, first served basis. If attending in person, parking is available at the UPMC Altoona parking garage for a $2 fee. The webinar will be streamed in the Rotunda on the 6th floor.
